Football is the fastest growing participation sport for women in the UK, but has always struggled to attract support and to offer a genuine career option for the best players. To tackle this the FA created the first professional women’s football league in the UK and we were asked to create a new brand that would enabling women’s football to emerge with its own unique spirit.

The work involved the development of a positioning line “Football with a female kick” which summed up the confident, competitive and spirited focus of the women’s game. This was brought to life with a bold, vibrant visual style and an animated identity that bridges traditional, digital and broadcast mediums.
